Solving Internet and Web Problems in Arlington, Texas

Web Design and Development in Arlington, Texas

A website should look good. It should work even better. That's handsome.

Good web design is not just about making a site look current. It is about helping people understand who you are, find what they need, and take the next step without getting lost or frustrated.

Designing a website on a computer

More than a New Look

I design and develop websites around the real needs of a business or organization. Sometimes that means starting over with an outdated site. Sometimes it means reorganizing confusing content, improving mobile usability, or making an existing site easier to manage. The right solution depends on what is working, what is not, and what you need the website to accomplish.

I handle the technical work myself, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, content management, accessibility, performance, hosting, and search fundamentals. You work directly with me, so the person discussing the project with you is also the person solving the internet and web problems behind it.

  • New website planning, design, and development
  • Complete redesigns of older or difficult-to-use websites
  • Mobile-friendly, responsive layouts
  • Content organization and navigation
  • Accessible, standards-based HTML
  • Website speed and technical performance
  • Content management and administrative tools
  • Hosting, maintenance, and long-term improvements

Correspondence Chess League of America

The Correspondence Chess League of America had an older website containing years of tournament, player, rating, and organizational information. I completed a full redesign and redevelopment of the site, then created a custom administrative backend that allows the organization's officers to manage tournaments, player ratings, event results, and other frequently changing information.

Members can now search for events, register for tournaments, review completed results, and look up their chess rating history. The public site brings together upcoming tournaments, current events, recent results, ratings, and Grand Prix standings in a format that is much easier for both members and officers to use. The organization continues to publish updated ratings and results through the website, while offering registration for multiple tournament formats.
